Information for Broadcasters & Channel Providers
Getting your spot on screen
At Freeview we don't make the programmes - we just deliver them on screen. In fact there are a lot of different people who set up channels to show on Freeview… and if you wanted you could be one of them.
The Freeview Service Provider Code of Practice gives you easy guidelines to get a channel up and running on Freeview, including processes and costs.
If you're a broadcaster, you can choose whether to broadcast your channel on Freeview via satellite and/or UHF aerial, so the channels on offer may differ between the two platforms.
Freeview consists of:
Freeview & MyFreeview via UHF aerial
12-13 television and three radio channels
Freeview & MyFreeview via satellite
15 television and four radio channels
