Freeview|HD (via UHF Aerial)
If you're looking to get Freeview|HD (via UHF aerial) & have already checked to ensure you have Freeview|HD coverage at your place, here's the equipment you'll need.
Remember to look for the Freeview logo on the product and packaging: this shows that the equipment you're buying has been fully tested and approved by Freeview.
|Option 1 - If you have a UHF aerial and want Freeview|HD (built-in)|
|UHF aerial||TV with Freeview|HD built-in|
|Option 2 - If you have a UHF aerial and want Freeview|HD|
|UHF aerial||Freeview|HD receiver||Your existing analogue TV|
|Option 3 - If you have a UHF aerial and want MyFreeview|HD|
|UHF aerial||MyFreeview|HD recorder||Your existing analogue TV or TV with Freeview|HD built-in|
Getting true HD
To make sure you're getting true HD you'll need the following…
- A high definition capable TV (with at least 1280 x 720 resolution)
- HDCP compliant input and HDMI cable
Note: You'll still get a crystal clear digital quality pictures in standard definition without the two things mentioned, as long as you have a UHF aerial and a Freeview receiver.
