Why is the HDMI cable not included?

The HDMI cable is not included in the box.

We elected not to include one as most homes already have existing HDMI cables, and each home have different cable requirements, in terms of length for example.

So rather than providing (and charging you for) yet another cable in the box, which may not be used to fit your TV set-up, we thought we’d let you choose and select your own cable, based on your individual preferences.

A HDMI cable is required to connect the New Freeview Recorder to your TV.
