What do I do if my receiver says an 'over-the-air software upgrade' is available?

From time to time the manufacturer of Freeview Approved devices will ask Freeview to broadcast software upgrades for your receiver , TV or PVR to improve its performance.

If you’re prompted by your device to accept a software upgrade, please follow the on-screen instructions. An upgrade should take no longer than 30 minutes.

When the upgrade is complete, the TV/receiver/recorder should return to the channel you were viewing or go to stand-by. If it doesn't, we suggest you unplug it (remove the power connection), wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. If the upgrade was unsuccessful the receiver will probably try again, follow the instructions. If it fails again we suggest you contact the manufacturer for technical support.
